Update on 2021 Overnight Camps

As you may have already heard, the Manitoba government has announced on June 10th that overnight camps will not be included in the current Covid-19 re-opening plan and as a result we will sadly have to cancel all overnight camps this summer for the second consecutive year. We understand this announcement likely impacts you and causes great disappointment because of the lost opportunity. We also are disappointed and deeply impacted by this. We love summer camp and the way it grows our faith, creates community, and allows us to participate in outdoor activities. Camp is needed more than ever for the overall health of kids. Day Camps are not currently permitted but we do hope to be able to offer them by July for ages 6-14 and realize that only about a third of our campers will be able to be part of day camps. If Day Camp is an option for you please visit our website for more information here: https://www.csranchsprucewoods.ca/summer-camp/day-camp/

Campers, we will miss you this summer, we know you are sad and that your life has changed so much in the last 16 months. We want you to know that camp will still be here in the future for more adventures, friendships, and Bible studies. We want to keep in touch with you over the summer, so watch for ways to connect over social media and on our website through our Blog: https://www.csranchsprucewoods.ca/blog/

Parents, we appreciate your support and investment into a camp experience that has positively shaped your children’s summers. We know that this time has also been extraordinarily difficult for you and we want to continue to partner with you to provide future summer camp experiences that will create memories that last a lifetime. We will be together again and please plan on sending your kids in 2022.

If you have deferred registration from 2020 we will reach out personally by phone or email in the coming weeks to talk through options for cancellations. In the meantime, we have several options for you to consider:

Donation: If you are able, your registration fees can be changed into a full or partial donation. This would be a significant help to us in this very difficult financial season.

Defer Balance: Camper fees that have already been made can be applied to the 2022 season or to Day Camps in 2021 if this is possible for you. Please don’t forget about camp!

Full Refund: You may request a full refund of fees paid to date, and all cancellation fees will be waived.

We are going to miss everyone in more ways than we can express, but we are not without hope. In this time, we look to Jesus to be our hope. We are fully committed to welcoming campers back for summer 2022, and we know that God continues to be at work in this time.
